Parvinder Singh to head Mahindra Retail's omni channel

Dec '15
Mahindra Retail has appointed Parvinder Singh as Chief Omni Channel Officer with effect from December 1, 2015. The company also said Sanjay Nadkarni, CEO, Mahindra Internet Commerce Private Limited (MICPL), which operates the BabyOye e-commerce vertical, would move from his current role to a Director on the Board of the company, according to an agency report.

Parvinder Singh will be responsible for positioning the BabyOye brand as a differentiated and true omni channel player in the maternity and baby-care business, Mahindra Retail said in a statement.

Singh had previously worked with Hindustan Lever, Coca-Cola, Standard Chartered Bank and the National Bank of Dubai (NBD) in the UAE and is an alumnus of IIM Ahmedabad.

Mahindra Retail said shifting Nadkarni to the Board of Directors will give him more time to independently focus on new ideas and fresh start-up opportunities.

Mahindra Retail had acquired BabyOye from Sanjay Nadkarni and Arunima Singhdeo, its founders and their investors, in December 2014. (SH)
