Poland saw a modest growth in gross domestic product (GDP) for the third quarter (Q3) of 2023, according to the latest flash estimate from Statistics Poland. Compared to the same quarter in the previous year, the seasonally unadjusted GDP, measured in volume terms, increased by 0.4 per cent. This growth rate, however, marks a significant slowdown from the 4.1 per cent increase witnessed during the same period in 2022.In terms of seasonally adjusted GDP, using constant prices with 2015 as the reference year, Poland saw a more encouraging increase of 1.4 per cent compared to the previous quarter. Furthermore, this figure represents a 0.5 per cent growth when compared to the third quarter of the previous year.
In Q3 2023, Poland experienced a modest 0.4 per cent year-on-year GDP growth, marking a slowdown from the 4.1 per cent increase in the same period of 2022.
The country's seasonally adjusted GDP increased by 1.4 per cent from the previous quarter.
This adjustment also shows a 0.5 per cent increase in Q3 2023 compared to Q3 of the previous year.
Additionally, the seasonally unadjusted GDP, calculated using constant average prices of the previous year, also recorded a 0.4 per cent increase compared to the corresponding quarter of the previous year, as per Statistics Poland.
