Polyester, PC & viscose yarn fall after GST cut; demand slows

Ludhiana saw a price fall in PC and polyester spun yarn, easing by &#****;*–* per kg after the government’s GST cut. A trader from Ludhiana told Fibre2Fashion, “All types of textile fibres now fall under a uniform rate of * per cent. Fibre manufacturers will revise prices for the next fortnight and may partly withhold the benefit of the GST cut. Buyers have delayed purchases as they want to see further price reductions.” Payment constraints also discouraged PC and polyester yarn buying.
