PV 2019 announces names of 8 award winners

The 11th edition of Première Vision Paris (PV) announced winners of 8 awards recently. The event singles out the most innovative creations from weavers and tanners exhibiting at Première Vision Fabrics and Première Vision Leather every year. To select the products to be awarded, influential personalities from the international fashion scene are invited to PV.

The 4 prizes for Première Vision Fabrics: The PV Fabrics Grand Jury Prize 2019 went to Luigi Colombo (Italy) for the most outstanding, symbolic and pertinent fabric of the season. The PV Fabrics Handle Prize 2019 went to Lyria (Italy) for the fabric allying the most astonishing tactile and behavioural qualities, the fabric that touches the emotions. The PV Fabrics Imagination Prize 2019 went to Jakob Schlaepfer (Switzerland) for the boldest, most original, most amazing fabric in terms of decoration, technique, finishing, innovation or technology. The PV Fabrics Fashion Smart Creation Prize 2019 went to Bonotto (Italy) for the most creative responsible fabric and leather.

The 4 prizes for Première Vision Leather: The PV Leather Grand Jury Prize 2019 went to Akto (Korea) for the most exceptional, symbolic and pertinent leather of the season. The PV Leather Handle Prize 2019 went to Marmara Deri (Turkey) for the leather combining the most amazing tactile and behavioural qualities, the leather that touches the emotions. The PV Leather Imagination Prize 2019 went to FC Creacio / Innovacio (Spain) for the most daring, original and amazing leather in terms of decoration, technique, finishing, innovation or technology.  The PV Leather Fashion Smart Creation Prize 2019 went to Kotai Tannery (Taiwan, China) for the most creative responsible fabric and leather.

The Jury of the 11th PV Awards included Bart Hess, artist and designer (The Netherlands); Jacopo Etro, head of the home and textiles division, Etro (Italy); Fabrizio Lupi, head of fabrics development and sourcing, Acne Studios (Sweden); Isaac Reina, designer, Isaac Reina (France); Ester Manas, designer, Ester Manas (France); Andreas Röhrich, director of product development & innovation, Wolford AG (Austria); Sergio Hernandez de Andrade, leather goods designer, Montblanc (Germany); Christoph Rumpf, Première Vision Grand Prix du Jury at the 2019 International Festival of Fashion in Hyères (Austria); Didier Vervaeren, journalist and teacher at La Cambre (Belgium); Claude Vuillermet, Polyphème (France); Pascaline Wilhelm, fashion director, Première Vision.
