Re.VerSo and leading manufacturer of premium yarns, Filpucci, introduce Take Back, the new additional sustainable and traceable Re.VerSo sourcing option which gives new life to dismissed garments and involves consumers as active players of circular economy processes. Re.VerSo is the platform for the re-engineering wool and cashmere materials for fashion.

Consumer can bring used woollen and cashmere clothes to boutique and flagship stores of brands joining the initiative to trigger a new transparent production cycle managed by Re.VerSo system. Re.VerSo is the identifying trademark of an evolved supply chain composed of Green Line, Nuova Fratelli Boretti, Filpucci, and A. Stelloni by Mapel, according to a press release by Re.VerSo.

So far, it has been bringing forward and developing traceable pre-consumer off cuts into exceptional wool and cashmere materials transforming them in yarns fabrics and knitwear, and all together, the platform creates a unique new offer of Re.VerSo re-engineered wool and cashmere that is traceable and 100 per cent made in Italy.

Re.VerSo raw materials are Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified, confirmed by Prima Q in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study performed on Re.VerSo Wool and cashmere products (for example 92 per cent of water, -82 per cent of energy consumption, and -97 per cent of carbon dioxide emissions compared to virgin wool).

Front Runners by Filippa K has selected A.Stelloni collection by Mapel fabrics, while the following companies have selected the Ninetyfive Re.VerSo cashmere collection by Filpucci for their high profile knits collections. Stella McCartney have replaced all of the virgin cashmere knitwear with the Re.VerSo re-engineered cashmere yarn by Filpucci, Eileen Fisher, Filippa K, Patagonia, and Whistles launched a capsule collection of sustainable cashmere jumpers in collaboration with Re.VerSo by Filpucci and C.L.A.S.S.. For the first time, thanks to the innovative Re.VerSo Take back service, traceability is expanded to clothes at the end of their life cycle.
