Roland DG bags two SGIA product of the year awards in US

Roland DG Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and printer/cutters, has bagged two prestigious Specialty Graphic Imaging Association (SGIA) Product of the Year awards at the 2016 SGIA Expo, which brings together the widest array of attendees from the imaging industry, held from September 14 to 16, 2016, in Las Vegas.
Roland DG received its awards for TrueVIS INK in the Digital Inks – Solvent/Eco-Solvent/Latex category, and Texart SBL3 Dye-Sublimation Ink in the Digital Inks – Textile category. The competition, which takes place annually, recognises new equipment and supplies that are advancing the specialty imaging industry. In addition, Roland DG customers were honoured with seven prestigious SGIA 2016 Golden Image Awards recognising digital printing excellence.
TrueVIS INK, which took top honours in the Digital Inks – Solvent/Eco-Solvent/Latex category, is designed for use with Roland DG's new, state-of-the-art TrueVIS series wide-format printer/cutters. Specially formulated to produce wide-gamut colour results, TrueVIS INK ensures vibrant colour and outstanding detail while minimising costs. In addition, TrueVIS INK is GREENGUARD Gold certified, dries quickly and lasts up to three years outdoors without lamination.
Texart dye-sublimation ink, developed for use with the company's Texart RT-640 and XT-640 sublimation printers, also impressed the judges at SGIA 2016, winning in the Digital Inks – Textile category. Texart inks, available in 4-colour or 8-colour configurations with CMYK, Light Cyan, Light Magenta, Orange, Violet, as well as new Fluorescent Pink and Yellow, deliver bold colour and stunning quality to sublimated fabric, apparel, and hard goods.
