Rajasthan based and integrated textile company Sangam India Limited's net profit rose 12.92 per cent year over year for the three months to December 31, 2015 period.

In a BSE filing, Sangam said its net profit grew 12.92 per cent at Rs 15.55 crore for the third quarter of fiscal 2016 as against Rs 13.77 crore in the same quarter of fiscal 2015.

However, its total income from operation slipped marginally to Rs 354.54 crore in the reporting quarter vis-à-vis Rs 367.31 crore in the third quarter of prior fiscal.

In the quarter under review, EBIDTA drove up 4.02 per cent to Rs 55.35 crore compared to Rs 53.21 crore in the comparable quarter of the previous fiscal.

The textile manufacturer's operating margins expanded 112 bps to 15.61 per cent in the third quarter of the current fiscal.

“Increased integration focus on exports helped the company in maintaining realisations, despite falling prices,” Sangam India stated. (AR)
