SGCCI appoints Zenitex's Desai as chairman of Energy

The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SGCCI) has appointed Viral Desai, CEO of Zenitex, as chairman of Energy & Renewable Energy for the year 2017-18. Having worked tirelessly in the field of power saving, energy conservation and environmental protection in his business practice, Desai was an automatic choice for the position.

As chairman, Desai will be associated with energy and renewable activities of SGCCI, which will take his special inputs to improve the services given by the chamber to the trade and industry and the people of Surat at large.

“I am confident that as chairman of Energy & Renewable Energy, you shall not only be able to extend your total contribution but also ensure measurable success in the plan designed for the respective field/activity,” SGCCI president PM Shah welcoming Desai in SGCCI team.

Recognised for his energy saving efforts nationally and internationally, Desai has bagged several awards including the prestigious ‘National Award for Energy Conservation’ three consecutive times and also ‘The Best Industry of Gujarat (Quality and Environmental Protection), again for three consecutive years.
