SGS, one of the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification companies, has launched a new exclusive range of comfort and athleisure wear services for the textile and footwear industries. This is a full range service in testing and technical support for comfort, performance, functional, and sportswear brands and suppliers.

With this new service, SGS defines comfort into thermoregulation, skin sensation, body movement, and psychological comfort. Equipped with state-of-the-art wear comfort testing facilities and expertise, SGS can help to test fabric, fabric systems and finished garments to assess different aspects of performance that influence wear comfort. Different technical support services for brands and supply chains are also offered through the SGS’s global network of expertise.

"In recent years, a new athleisure trend has been emerging. This trend has moved the apparel industry to another level of innovation, such as high-tech fibres, materials, and finishing, coupled with highly fashionable design. With such innovative garments, many brands no longer focus solely on performance. They also focus on comfort," SGS said in a press release. (RR)
