Shima Seiki, a textile solutions provider of Japan, will exhibit at the China International Sewing Machinery and Accessories Show (CISMA 2019) in Shanghai, in hall E2, stand F12, from September 25-28, 2019. The exhibits include pre-sewing, sewing, and after-sewing equipment, CAD/CAM, and accessories which covers the whole garment production procedure.

The company will display the Shima Cutting Solutions, a fully integrated cutting system that offers smooth workflow from design and programming to fabric spreading, labelling, cutting, and pickup of cut parts. At CISMA 2019, Shima Cutting Solutions will be demonstrated through a comprehensive display of the company’s CAD/CAM line-up consisting of the SDSONE APEX4 design system, PSPR2K fabric spreading machine with labelling option, PCAM161 multiply computerised cutting machine, and pickup table with pickup projector, according to Shima Seiki.

SDSONE APEX4 is a brand new design system shown for the first time in China. Fabric simulation capability in circular knitting, flat knitting, weaving, pile weaving, and printing reduces sampling time, cost and material. New PGM software features improved interface and up to a 40 per cent increase in productivity compared to the previous APEX3 system.

Highly efficient auto-marking premium nesting software is available as well. PSPR2K computerised spreading machine provides smooth spreading and stacking of knits and other fabrics with stretch characteristics. The labelling option is available for affixing labels to each part for smooth pickup. PCAM161 offers high-quality, efficiency and productivity with good costperformance. It is designed to handle precision cutting of a variety of fabrics and materials for flexible high-volume production. The pickup table features a pickup projector that projects images of cut parts onto the fabric to increase efficiency and prevent human error in pickup and sorting.

The prototype PCAM160 single ply computerised cutting machine will be demonstrating automatic pickup and workflow to sewing machine as an example of the ‘Connected Industries’ Industry 4.0 proposal by the Japanese government. All Shima Seiki products are developed and manufactured with innovative technology, precision engineering, and Made-in-Japan quality. (GK)
