Shima Seiki, a Japanese producer of computerised knitting machinery is exhibiting at the DTG 2016 in Dhaka, Bangladesh which runs January 28-31, 2016 at booth 603.

“Operating within the Bangladeshi market since 1996, this will be the ninth time the Japanese manufacturer will participate at DTG,” a Shima Seiki press release said.

At DTG 2016, the company will be exhibiting its latest solutions to meet those current needs, as well as advanced innovations for future market needs.

These include the SWG061N 10G Wholegarment compact knitting machine capable of producing seam-free items in one-piece with no linking or sewing required.

With their compact size, short lead times and versatile production capacity exclusive to Wholegarment knitting, the SWGmini series allows customers to participate in the Wholegarment market with minimal investment.

The SWG061N features a 24-inch or 60 cms knitting width, for knitting items like gloves, socks, hats, mufflers, neckties and other small accessory items, all knitted in three-dimensions without seams.

“Another machine on show, the MACH2SIR123-SV 14G is an intarsia specialty machine offering tremendously high productivity worthy of its name,” Shima Seiki added.

With a maximum of 40 intarsia carriers, MACH2SIR features the largest number of intarsia feeders available.

It also achieves a maximum knitting speed of 1.4 metres per second in combination with the new R2Carriage System which achieves quicker carriage returns after each course, dramatically improving efficiency.

“Previously, programming for knitting with so many intarsia carriers would have been overwhelming, but that issue is solved with the latest automatic yarn carrier setting software on SDS-ONE APEX3 design system,” it explained.

Developed as the new industry standard for computerised shaped knitting, SVR122 is Shima Seiki's latest model workhorse machine.

According to the company, high productivity is achieved with a maximum knitting speed of 1.4 metres per second, as well as with the R2Carriage System that achieves quicker carriage returns.

SVR122 features the latest Shima Seiki technology, such as DSCS Digital Stitch Control System, full-time spring-loaded sinker system, stitch presser, yarn gripper and cutter and takedown comb among others.

Shima Seiki's most popular model the SSR112-SV 7G, stays true to Shima Seiki philosophy in offering the most advanced technology available at an affordable price.

High productivity is achieved with a maximum knitting speed of 1.2 metres per second, as well as with the R2carriage System that achieves quicker carriage returns.

With Shima Seiki's SlideNeedle, spring-type sinker system and double racking mechanism, the SCG122SN coarse gauge specialty machine can produce bold and interesting designs.

The 3G machine is capable of producing gauge-free fabrics with texture in the 2G~4G range, while the optional I-DSCS+DTC Digital Stitch Control System can handle thicker and heavier yarns. (AR)
