SPGPrints presenting creativity of Pike at Avanprint

SPGPrints will present Pike and the creative possibilities and production advantages of digital textile printing at Avanprint 2016, which begins February 15 in Paris on its stand D224.
“Digital textile printing with the Pike printer delivers subtle halftones and sharp geometric patterns at speeds up to 40 metre per minute,” the company informed in a press release.
“The Pike printer can fulfil short runs and meet tight deadlines, providing the combined competitive advantages of shortened time to market and reduced logistics costs,” it added.
SPGPrints further added that instant, on-the-fly changes in image orientation facilitate pattern positioning so that all garment sizes have the intended design impact.
“This flexibility thus reduces delivery times and makes design adjustments more cost-effectively than ever, no matter how short the run,” the company observed.
“With distributed regional or local printing, size allocations can reflect specific demographic information,” it noted.
In addition to fast delivery times, Pike's reliability, using established Fujifilm Samba print heads and versatility gives its users many advantages.
The high print resolutions possible on the Pike make it possible to achieve sharp edges, fine lines and smooth gradients, opening new opportunities for designers.
All this is made possible with Pike's Archer Technology that can jet accurately across a distance of 4mm, compared to the more commonly found 1.5mm.
“This means that a wider range of textiles can be printed by the Pike and there is reduced risk of the print head coming into contact with the substrate,” SPGPrints explained.
“Not only does digital printing give benefits of short-run and on-demand production, it also enables printing to be carried out closer to the point of sale,” Jos Notermans, commercial manager digital textiles said.
“The Pike printer uses inks manufactured by SPGPrints that have been formulated for optimal performance with the whole printer to deliver outstanding results,” he too added.
According to the company, a broad range of samples will be available on the SPGPrints stand at Avanprint as well as full technical information about the Pike digital textile printer. (AR)
