Spike in global benzene trends hit Asian prices

Decline in global benzene prices, led to a fall in Asian benzene trends yesterday (Oct 15).

Lower upstream energy prices and fall in downstream product prices too supported the price drop.

In Korea, prices were spotted at US$ 1075/ton yesterday, lower by US$ 30/ton or 2.71% as compared to US$ 1105/ton on Oct 14.

In Japan, benzene prices declined by 2.70% and were quoted at US$ 1080/ton on Wednesday versus US$ 1110/ton on Tuesday.

In India too, benzene prices were offered at US$ 1085/ton yesterday, down by 2.70%.
