Spinning machinery components exempted from import duty

The Chinese government has withdrawn import duties on a few critical machinery imports related to the textile spinning sector.
As per the notice, imports of machinery components by qualified domestic Chinese companies for the manufacture of government-supported cotton spinning equipment will not attract customs tariff and value-added tax.
These critical components include: pneumatic weighting cradle for ring spinning frame, card clothing for blowing-carding machine, plate spring cradle for roving machine, pneumatic weighting cradle, cylinder and top comb for combing machine and plate spring cradle for roving machine.
