Continuous strikes and road blockades in the country has taken its toll on the three most exported products- woolen carpets, jam and tooth powder as the export of these three products through Birgunj Customs has slipped down this year due to these two reasons.

These three were the top products among 15 most exported products, informed Mr. Ram Prasad Regmi, Information Officer at Birgunj Customs. Last year, woolen carpets worth Rs. 196.2 million and jam worth Rs. 222.5 million were shipped through Birgunj.
