Synthetic fibre exports leapfrog in 2010

China's total exports of textile synthetic fibers (staple fibers) to global markets reached US $911.08 million in January-December 2010, an increase of 66.87 percent over the previous year.

The growth rate was 43.11 points higher than the growth rate of 23.76 percent posted by the overall textile and clothing exports in 2010.

December exports alone reached $117.11 million at an average unit price of $1600 per ton against the average unit price of $1400 / ton for whole of 2010.
