Chinese PTA imports touched reached 333,000 tons in February 2011, down 133,500 tons or 28.61 percent, when compared with January 2011.
Import volume of other terephthalic acid fetched 60,700 tons, a decline of a massive 54,100 tons or 52.87 percent from the previous month.
Among February PTA imports, the top four countries who exported to China were; Taiwan (173,200 tons); South Korea (113,100 tons); Thailand (33,000 tons) and Japan (9,600 tons).
Among February imports of other terephthalic acid, the top two source countries / regions were South Korea (55,800 tons) and Japan (3,900 tons).
