Further, the delegation headed by the TEA general secretary TR Vijayakumar also discussed about the Odisha apparel policy with the government officials. As per the policy for the new textile park, the Central government and state government will provide 60 per cent subsidy on building and common facilities under SITP scheme, 25 per cent subsidy for new machinery, Rs 1 crore interest free working capital loan, and reimbursement of Rs1500 for new factories, giving employment for new labours. Further, the units in the textile park will provide minimum wages of Rs 220 per 8 hours.
The delegation also paid visit to TITCO Industrial Corporation where 70 acres has been allocated to the textile park with the availability of various services including water, power supply and road. In view to investment, ten companies from Tiruppur can join together and start a textile park in Odisha, said Vijayakumar. (RR)
