Thomas Obendrauf named CFO at Lenzing

Thomas Obendrauf MBA has been appointed as the new chief financial officer (CFO) of Lenzing AG beginning March 1, 2016.
He has also been included in the three-member management board of the Austrian specialty fibre producer, which also includes CEO Stefan Doboczky and CCO Robert van de Kerkhof.
“Thomas Obendrauf studied commercial science at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and at Chicago University, where he acquired an MBA,” a Lenzing press release said.
“He also qualified as a tax consultant in Austria and as a certified public accountant in the US,” the press release added.
Thomas Obendrauf previously served as CFO of the car dealership Wiesenthal Autohandels AG, and also worked for twelve years as CFO and in other management positions with circuit board manufacturer AT&S AG.
On top of his financial know-how, he gained comprehensive expertise in innovation management in the US.
“Thomas Obendrauf also brings to his new job many years of operational management experience in developing and optimising sustainable business relationships in the Far East,” Lenzing stated.
“We are pleased to have a recognised financial expert on the Lenzing management board team and in addition, the Lenzing Group can benefit greatly from his extensive expertise on Asia,” CEO Stefan Doboczky said.
Thomas Obendrauf too said, “I have been able to obtain a good overview of Lenzing AG over the past few months and am very excited about serving in this highly responsible position as CFO.” (AR)
