Production output grew by 1.2 per cent QoQ in Q4 2025 following an unrevised fall of 0.1 per cent in the quarter to November. The largest contributor to this came from manufacturing, which was up by 0.9 per cent QoQ. Overall, seven of the 13 sub-sectors in manufacturing increased during Q4 2025.
GDP is estimated to have grown by 1 per cent year on year (YoY) in Q4 2025. Production also grew by 1 per cent YoY during the quarter, an ONS release said.
GDP is estimated to have grown by 0.1 per cent month on month (MoM) in December last year following a MoM growth of 0.2 per cent in November and an unrevised fall of 0.1 per cent in October. However, production output fell by 0.9 per cent MoM during the month; manufacturing output was down by 0.5 per cent QoQ. Eight of the 13 manufacturing sub-sectors saw a monthly decrease in December 2025.
GDP is estimated to have been 0.7 per cent higher YoY in December 2025.
Annual production output is estimated to have increased by 0.2 per cent in 2025—the first annual rise since 2021.
