UK manufacturing output up 0.5% MoM in Jun 2025: ONS

UK production output is estimated to have increased by 0.7 per cent month on month (MoM) in June this year following a 1.3-per cent MoM fall in May and no growth during April this year, according to the Office of National Statistics (ONS).

A 0.5-per cent MoM rise in manufacturing output in June had a role to play in the monthly production output increase.

Eight of the 13 manufacturing sub-sectors saw a MoM rise in June.

Production output decreased by 0.3 per cent quarter on quarter (QoQ) during the second quarter (Q2) this year. The largest negative contributor to the quarterly fall came from electricity and gas, an ONS release said.
