Unifi has launched its new ‘True Innovation Starts in the Fibre’ branding, and the new Profiber brand at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market (ORSM) 2018, which is being held from July 23 to 26, 2018, in Denver, in booth 1022-LL. Unifi is global textile solutions provider and a leading innovator in manufacturing synthetic and recycled performance fibres.

The new branding highlights Unifi’s commitment to the development of innovative and sustainable performance fibres backed by a flexible, global supply chain. The new Profiber brand provides options to integrate multiple performance Tru-technologies into polyester and nylon yarns that deliver increased fabric comfort, performance and functionality.

As part of the new branding, Unifi has repositioned its performance technologies to be benefit focused making it easier for customers to select the properties that are most important to their consumers.

Unifi’s proprietary Tru-technologies offer a wide range of performance properties such as wicking, thermal comfort, full coverage, bounce, stretch, sun protection and water resistance. Various new Tru-technologies are being featured at the 2018 ORSM.

TruTemp 365 are high-tech fibres for fabric that performs, providing year-round comfort in warm or cool weather. TruDry is a breathable, moisture-wicking fibre technology that helps keep fabrics cool, dry and comfortable. TruCover fibres come with an increased surface area that deliver flexible, lightweight stretch, and coverage without show through. TruFlexx fibres allow fabrics to move freely and stretch without binding or sagging. TruCool performance fibres create fabrics that feel cool to touch. TruTouch fibres, with cotton-like softness, provide a natural touch and feel.

Unifi is also leading the way in sustainable performance with Repreve, the global leader in branded recycled fibre. Through its proprietary U TRUST verification programme, Repreve is one of the most trusted and certified earth-friendly fibres in the world. High-quality, recycled yarns are made from 100 per cent recycled materials, including post-consumer plastic bottles, pre-consumer waste or a hybrid blend of both. Products made with Repreve also help conserve energy and natural resources.

The Repreve #TurnItGreen national mobile tour is also on-site at the ORSM event at booth 54143-UL, where attendees have the opportunity to experience first-hand how recycled bottles are transformed into performance fibres. (GK)
