US T&A imports by volume dip 3%, exports down 2% in Jan-Nov

Insights

US textile and apparel import volumes fell *.** per cent year on year to **,***.*** million SME during January–November 2025, with declines in both apparel and non-apparel textiles.
Cotton and MMF imports also eased.
Exports dropped *.** per cent overall, as fabric and yarn shipments weakened despite growth in apparel exports.
The decline follows strong import growth in 2024.

During the period, apparel imports declined by *.** per cent to **,***.*** million SME from **,***.*** million SME in January–November ****. Imports of textiles (non-apparel) reached **,***.*** million SME in January–November ****, marking a decline of *.** per cent compared with **,***.*** million SME in the corresponding period of ****.

The import volume of cotton products fell by *.** per cent to **,***.*** million SME during the review period, compared with **,***.*** million SME a year earlier. Meanwhile, imports of man-made fibre (MMF) products decreased to **,***.*** million SME in January–November ****, down from **,***.*** million SME in the same period of ****.
