Vardhman showcased its latest, sustainable Spring/Summer 2021 collection at Textrum, an exhibition of styles, trends and fashion. The event held at Hotel Courtyard by Marriott, Gurugram from March 4-6, in collaboration with Apparel Sourcing Week 2020, was a major attraction for several buying & export houses and witnessed presence of renowned brands.

The 4th edition of Textrum was focused on performance, sustainability, aesthetics and colours. Performance and sustainability are at the core of textile manufacturing at Vardhman, with continuous up-gradation and adoption of advanced technology in all 18 state-of-the-art manufacturing units spread across the country. Performance refers to the functionalities and attributes added to the fabric using the right kind of processes and technology. A variety of products including cotton, polyester, temperature-controlled and poly-viscose fibres besides bi-stretch fabric known for high-performance were exhibited.

Sustainable fashion, being one of the key trends, and an aspect greatly emphasised by the group, was showcased via a collection of man-made, regenerated and recycled fibres like hemp, flax, linen, Refibra, Tencel, Ecovero, viscose, etc besides eco-conscious fabric, UN-dyed and natural-looking cotton range.

Aesthetics, at Vardhman, are about adding value along with a unique visual appeal. Fabricating the fibres to craft futuristic designs and meet customer expectations requires a thorough understanding of preferences, experience to predict market hits and fails, and creative instinct to breathe freshness to the design.

Colours reflect the season, mood, upcoming trends, and are an integral component of aesthetics. At Textrum, the colours chosen were also associated with sustainability. The event brought pastel and organic colours to everybody’s attention. These colours being un-dyed and raw not only soothe you in summers but also minimise carbon footprint and contribute to the goal of sustainability.

Another crucial aspect emphasised during the exhibition was surface elevation, wherein seersucker in different count, blends, yarn-dyed and prints were skilfully achieved and presented. To support, other segments of yarn-dyed trousers/shorts, range of performance and functional fibres, dobbies, knit look and textures, formal range of fabrics, regenerated cellulosic blends and wide range of prints on tropical and abstract themes were also showcased, highlighting the design sensibility in Men’s and Women’s wear.

Vardhman is one of the largest integrated textile manufacturers of India producing yarn, fabric, acrylic fibre, garments and special steel. Rooted in values, ethics and quality, the work-practices of the group are highly revered in the industry. Vardhman brings the latest innovations in products and processes to the customers through Textrum wherein seasonal collections are launched and the viability as also performance of the products are showcased to buyers via one-on-one interactions.
