Several Italian fashion fabric producers exhibited their beachwear product range by incorporating Lycra fibre into their fabrics at the 2015 edition of Mare di Moda.

The Lycra fibre is available in several variants like Lycra Sport, Lycra Xtra Life and Lycra Beauty fibres.
Brugnoli's Beachwear 2017 collection was enhanced by new proposals in the Unforgettable line.
Also present in the Sport range, the Unforgettable family includes fabrics with rippling surfaces, rich in details and refined techniques, perfect for the creation of sophisticated garments that are bursting with character.
All the beachwear garments were made using Lycra Xtra Life fibre, to provide flawless fit and exceptional resistance to damage caused by chlorinated water, sun oils and creams and high temperatures.
In the new Beachwear 2017 collection, Eurojersey's Sensitive Fabrics offered a collection of prints and patterns combined with single colours, emphasising the potential of the brand's entire range of technical fabrics.
“The presence of hi-tech Lycra Xtra Life fibre for beachwear also gave the fabric a range of qualities like perfect fit, excellent shape retention and superior resistance to chlorine and suncare products,” it said.
Maglificio Ripa is an innovative fabric designed for applications in the beachwear sector whose performance is boosted by the presence of Lycra Xtra Life fibre.
“This provides superior resistance to the damaging effects caused by external agents like chlorine, suncare products and high temperatures, as well as offering perfect fit,” Invista added.
One of Europe's major stretch fabric producers, Piave Maitex presented an extensive range of new proposals for Beachwear 2017.
One of these was Tecnogrip Beachwear, an entire line of functional anti-slip fabrics with technical features that respond to all sector requirements.
These fabrics offer highly functional non-slip characteristics that enable them to cling perfectly to the body, even in extreme situations.
The presence of Lycra Xtra Life fibre, offers excellent shape retention, perfect fit and superior resistance to chlorine, suncare products and high temperatures.
Wegal&Tricotel presented Favola for its Summer 2017 collection using Lycra Xtra Life premium fibre for its swimwear, as it provides greater resistance, impeccable fit and perfect shape retention. (AR)
