The largest ever Yarn Expo Autumn trade show held last month witnessed visitor numbers climbing by 63 per cent to 11,832 as against 7,275 in the 2015 edition. The show also saw 319 exhibitors from 12 countries and regions, a rise of 24 per cent compared to the 2015 edition, with exhibition space also expanding by 35 per cent to 11,500 sq. metres.

According to Messe Frankfurt, the organiser of Yarn Expo, the fair proved to be an effective platform for exhibitors to develop business with buyers throughout the world

“The last few years has seen a steady increase in exhibitors and buyers, to the point where the fair is now seen as one of the leading global yarn and fibre trade events,” Wendy Wen, senior general manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd said.

“The huge increase in buyers this year is a result of the quality and industry-leading exhibitors from both China and abroad, that choose to exhibit at Yarn Expo each year,” she added.

This year, the Birla Pavilion made its debut at the fair, in which 14 exhibitors from China and Indonesia promoted their fabric products made from viscose staple fibres and manmade cellulose fibres.

The next Spring Edition of Yarn Expo will be held from March 15–17, 2017, while the Autumn Edition takes place in October 2017. (AR)
