Voormi unveils lighter weight merino based fabric

Developer of precision blended wool fabrics and apparel, Voormi has launched Dual Surface UL precision blended wool technology, which will be used in its new all season lightweight collection.
“The Dual Surface UL precision blended wool technology delivers a significantly lighter weight merino-based fabric without sacrificing durability or performance,” the company said.
“The technology locates a razor-thin layer of moisture wicking polyester next-to-skin, while maintaining merino wool dominance throughout the remainder of the fabric,” it added.
The Dual Surface UL fabric weighs just under 100 grams per sq. metre, making it 30-50 grams lighter than the leading ultra light merino fabrics currently on the market.
Voormi's chief marketing officer Timm Smith said, “Our goal has always been to expand the performance possibilities of merino wool. The Dual Surface UL fabric is as comfortable on a boot pack as it is on the river.” (AR)
