Wira to show testing instruments at ITMA

The range of testing instruments developed by Wira complies with international standards for the performance of fabrics in specific safety-related scenarios. The portfolio includes the Wira Radiant Heat Tester, Wira Flame Heat Tester and Wira Contact Heat Tester as well as other protection performance criteria such as the resistance of materials to molten metal splash, the company said in a press release.

These days, manufacturers are increasingly looking to ensure customers of sustainability not only in their processing plants but in the life cycle of their products, for which testing plays a key role in the verification process. In addition to a comprehensive range of testing instruments for textiles and nonwovens, Wira offers the largest range of instruments by a single manufacturer for the testing of floorcoverings.

The new Wira Illumination device has been developed for the assessment of carpets to the latest ISO and European standards. The unit is designed around its own integral floor-standing frame which incorporates the light source and rotating sample holder.
