Xinjiang will harvest a bumper cotton crop this year. As of late October, 60 percent of the crop harvesting has been completed in the province.
As per estimates of the China Cotton Association, the Xinjiang cotton crop is expected to touch 3.425 million tons, up 17.4 percent from a year ago and the overall Chinese output is anticipated to reach 7.28 million tons.
Sales from the province have been affected mainly due to constraints in transportation capacity of the white gold.
