Lenzing Group, Austria-based leading supplier of sustainably produced specialty fibres, has collaborated with Tahweave, an Indian hand-crafted clothing brand by designer Sweta Tantia and Anushka Shroff, to introduce ‘Elements’ collection. The casual womenswear collection is inspired by elements of nature and created entirely by Tencel branded fibres originating from sustainably managed forests and produced with low environmental impact.

“The collection uses renewable and biodegradable materials and takes inspiration from various elements of nature- the earth, fire, forest and water. Featuring light and flowy ready to wear pieces, the collection features a colour story with shades of blues, greens, peaches and reds with the essential of some sheerness that create a comfortable yet chic look. This collection is detailed with ‘Clamp dye’, ‘Katha stitch” and ‘Kanta stitch’,” according to the Austrian firm.

“We are pleased to partner with Tahweave, a label that encourages not just sustainable fashion but a sustainable lifestyle and is in line with the brand values of Tencel. The ‘Elements’ collection is our first collaboration with Tahweave, and it’s been an absolute pleasure working with the young talented Tantia and Shroff. We are sure the collection’s youthful vibe will resonate well with consumers and drive a strong message to embrace sustainability as a choice,” Avinash Mane, commercial director for textile business, South Asia, Lenzing Group, said in a press release.

“We are delighted to collaborate with the Lenzing Group. Tahweave is a sustainable brand that was created with the belief that fashion and nature are intrinsically linked. I have always believed that sustainable fashion need not be boring or restrictive, hence this collaboration with Tencel for my latest collection was particularly exciting as it gave me an opportunity to something for my customers that is not only sustainable end-to-end but is also colourful and stylised,” Tantia said.

Tencel fibres are derived from the natural raw material wood, harvested from certified and controlled sources in Europe. They are produced by an eco-responsible process with low resource usage, as well as minimised water pollution and emissions. With features like smoothness, breathability, colour retention and biodegradability, this is the perfect alternative option for both brands and consumers moving towards eco-fashion.
