Trend and Forecast on Footwear & Leather Goods – successful seminar

Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Noida in association with ARS Sutoria organized a seminar on 'Trend and Forecast on Footwear & Leather Goods - Autumn-Winter 2011-12' on September 27th & 28th, 2010 in FDDI's auditorium at Noida, India.
“The basic objective of organizing this seminar is to serve as a fertile ground for incubating the students into professionals on the one hand & on the other hand to serve the Footwear & Leather Goods Industry's need by up-dating it on the latest market trends and technical information.” - Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI.
The seminar began by lighting the ceremonial lamp on September 27th 2010 by Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI, Mr. Shashi Bhushan Shukla, IRS, Secretary, FDDI, Ms. Orietta Pelizarri, Editorial Staff/ Trend Researcher and Mr. Roberto Gussoni, Senior Faculty at ARS Sutoria, Italy at the FDDI's auditorium.
On this occasion eminent personality from the industry, FDDI's alumni, faculties, staff members & students of FDDI were present.
FDDI has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ARS Sutoria, Milan, Italy as a cross-benefit to both the Institutes exists in the area of growth and development in international understanding and global knowledge for its faculty and students.
ARS Sutoria is the most prestigious school for the leather goods and footwear model design located in Milan - Italy, the world capital of clothing and leather fashion. It's renowned for the method of teaching with extensive knowledge of new CAD-CAM technology and has core expertise in the area of trend research, interpretation of research based data and product designing backed with publication.
Under the terms of MoU, the pictures collected for trend analysis available on the private area of website i.e., www.arsarpel.it has been made available to the students/designers of FDDI irrespective of the campuses of FDDI.
Delivering the keynote address, Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI said, “The basic objective of organizing this seminar is to serve as a fertile ground for incubating the students into professionals on the one hand & on the other hand to serve the Footwear & Leather Goods Industry's need by up-dating it on the latest market trends and technical information.”
He further said that “Forecasting fashion trends for developing new Product Range is of paramount importance for the growth of the Leather Sector.”
During the seminar, Ms. Orietta Pelizarri and Mr. Roberto Gussoni, addressed topics like Colours, Materials & Components, Finished Products, Design, Street Fashion & Windows.
On September 27th 2010, 'Trend and Forecast on Footwear Autumn-Winter 2011-12' was released and on September 28th, 2010 'Trend and Forecast on Leather Goods - Autumn-Winter 2011-12' was released.
The seminar offered a forum for the professional exchange of knowledge and skills related to Avante garde Fashion & design concepts. The seminar reflected the increasingly important role of Forecasting fashion trends in the leather and leather products.
