IF 6th International Ready to Wear Fair during August 25-27 in Istanbul

THE TURKISH READY-TO-WEAR INDUSTRY AT A GLANCE The ready -to- wear sector, with 13.1 billion USD export capacity, has almost a 20.5 % in the foreign trade of Turkey in 2004 who is recently recognized as one of the significant clothing producers in the world. According to the statistical data of 2004, approximately 74 % of ready -to- wear has been exported to European Union countries. OECD countries like USA, Canada, Switzerland come next with almost 14%.
The continuous updating of technology, enhancement of the production quality and effective price policies are very significant in this remarkable success of Turkish ready -to- wear sector constantly developing in milieu of international competition despite the conjunctural shrinkage and local economic stagnation throughout the world since last two years.
Tuyap Fairs and Exhibitons Organization Inc founded in 1979 and has served more than 112.000 domestic and foreign client organizations by organising 595 domestic fairs and exhibitons working with 71 professional institutions and covering 50 different subjects over the past 25 years. It is the only Turkish member of the INTEREXPO Association of Organisers Responsible for the National Participations in International Trade Fairs, a member of ICCA International Congress and Convention Association. Tüyap is also a member of the Turkish Fair FaiFair Organiser's Association and its' chairman for 1998.
