Gangotri Textiles, based in Coimbatore, has found production partners for manufacturing garments.
Managing Director Manoj Kumar Tibrewal stated that the company has planned an expansion of Rs351 crores, which involves addition of 50,000 spindles, a weaving and processing unit with daily production capacity of 50,000 metres and a clothing unit.
Company is expecting turnover of around Rs500 crores in 2008-09 when it will be expanded fully.
Company's in-house cloth manufacturing capacity is 5,000 pieces per day. Weaving and processing unit being developed in Perundurai will have a fabric production capacity of around 40,000 pieces per day.
Company wants to engage production partners who can add 15,000 garments. Tibrewal said Gangotri has found two-three partners and is conducting trial production.
It will supply fabrics and designs to them, and they will use these in cloth making. Company wants to find more partners and enhance garment production in stages.
