ii. Design for the Environment (DfE) Prevent the waste of natural resources in the manufacturing process to minimize the environmental impact and maximize resource productivity. iii. Green Production Everest applies the concept of eco protection to the whole supply chain from R&D, purchase, manufacture, logistics to sales service. iv. bluesign certification Everest joined the bluesign standard to ensure the healthy and nontoxic products from every aspect in the production process. v. Environmental Accounting Everest establishes its own eco-efficiency indicator to enhance the understanding of the result of the company's environmental activities and the eco-efficiency. vi. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) • The leaf-walker conservation plan: Everest had adopted 500 square meters of the Jacana conservation area in Quantian, Tainan County, to protect the pheasant-tailed Jacana, one of the rarest birds on the plant. • Serve with Tzu Chi: Everest R&D team largely uses recycled materials to produce green products to the consumers. vii. Turn trash into gold Everest will plan an ecological park adopting eco-friendly construction materials, and natural power lamp to offer a best place for employees to rest and experience environmental protection. viii. Ecological area In the long run, Everest plans to construct an ecological area and organize an “ Everest ecological association”. We will invite the community and schools to join this project to work and grow together.
By means of the ”Everest's 168 Statement for Environmental Protection”, Everest textile expects to contribute the corporate responsibility and accumulate green competitiveness.
Under these action plans, we can gradually reduce the impact to the environment, but also protect the natural resource, increase the efficiency (Less is More) and make a profit by saving energy to create the win-win situation for both our earth and company.
Furthermore, influence the public to develop the environmental culture for the well-being to achieve our ultimate goal – Everest's sustainability.
