Freudenberg group gung-ho on India

Freudenberg, which is among the major global suppliers specializing in seals and vibration control technology, nonwovens and filters, has made investment of more than Rs 1.3 billion in India, in the past two years.

As per the Regional Representative of the Freudenberg Group in India, Mr. Jorg Matthias Grossmann, the group is continually making investments in India and has recorded a healthy growth in Indian market with 33.6 percent improvement in net sales from Rs 4.17 billion in 2008 to Rs 5.58 billion, last year.

Freudenberg Filtration Technologies has joined forces with an Indian energy and environmental technology company, 'Thermax', in order to cater to the requirements of large gas turbines and compressors for the energy, petrochemical, iron, steel with innovative filtration and cooling solutions.

The company is in process of formulating a strategy for investments in next five years, added Mr. Grossmann, emphasizing that the group has recognized India as one of the strategic growth markets.
