Road-route to China via Myanmar beneficial - President

President Iajuddin Ahmed met with the Chinese Ambassador Chai Xi, Thursday, and discussed the proposed road link to China through Myanmar.
Bangladesh said that this route will enhance trade relations and improve transportation of products between the countries.
Bangladesh has an adverse trade balance with China and proposed that China could import quality leather goods, garments and melamine at very competitive prices.
China's presence as an observer in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) has also been accepted.
