Georgeblack selects Bombyx PLM to manage workload

Georgeblack, Netherlands fashion consultants, has chosen Bombyx PLM to streamline their workload with international brands. Georgeblack is a full service design and production agency based in Amsterdam for designers, retailers, start-ups, and brands in the fashion industry. Bombyx PLM is a sleek, understated product lifecycle management software system.
Georgeblack produces a fully transparent and sustainable way using quality, ecological, and ethical materials certificated by their partners all over the world to meet their customer requirements, according to a press release by Bombyx PLM.
The fashion consultant is currently working with international clients from the UK, Netherlands, Sweden, and Germany. Together with Bombyx PLM, and TrustTrace, Georgeblack can streamline their processes at the backend of their industry, and give the front end the visibility today clients require.
“We’re delighted to work with Georgeblack and their expansive client listing. They are an innovative consultancy that is fashion and tech forward, we look forward to giving their clients the quick turnaround that they require in this fast-paced industry,” Lucy Blackley, Bombyx PLM said.
“The reason why we have chosen to work with Bombyx PLM is that it’s incredibly easy to use, it gives us clear overview of our developments and takes out a lot of the administrative work we previously did with the option to have all data in critical paths, which for us means we have eliminated the use of Excel and everything is now clear and understandable for all within our team. Bombyx is professional, the design is clean, and in one click you one exactly the status of your developments. Secondly it is great value for money, I have never understood why a PLM system should cost a lot of money,” George Kara from Georgeblack said.
The Dutch brand is also working on their own in-house label ‘George Black’, as well as a white-labelling service as a speed-to-market for the apparel industry. Georgeblack is also in collaboration with Swedish company, TrustTrace, to further add transparency and traceability to the production of their client base and private label. (GK)
