Gerber Technology will launch a new cutting system and feature its latest digital technology at the 2015 China International Sewing Machinery and Accessories (CISMA) Show to be held from September 23-26, 2015 in Shanghai.

The exhibits of the integrated software and automation solutions for the apparel and industrial markets will be located in Hall E1, Stand A34 of the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre.

Gerber's new Paragon HX cutting system features enhancements for improved user experience and increased throughput, including cutting head modifications for reduced noise and a new dual drill system for improved speed and accuracy.

“The HX is also available in an HX-A configuration designed specifically for the automotive industry, and as an HX-L designed for lingerie and other delicate applications,” a press release from Gerber informed.

“Productivity improvements to the system's Cut-Ticketing Process, which connects data from the AccuMark system through the spreader and to the cutter, will be demonstrated at the show,” it said.

Also featured at CISMA will be Gerber's integrated digital solutions, which help address the key industry needs of improvements in material utilisation, labour efficiency and cost, improved data management and shorter overall time to market.

The digital solution includes Gerber's industry leading YuniquePLM comprehensive product lifecycle management software and AccuMark 10 integrated pattern design, grading, marker making and production planning software.

Gerber will demonstrate both software applications and highlight its new AccuMark3D visualisation technology, an optional module for AccuMark 10.

According to Gerber, its 3D technology is fully integrated within the AccuMark 10 software, making it easy to move from 2D to 3D.

“AccuMark 3D incorporates sophisticated 3D graphics and animation technology called Blender, which has been widely used in the animation, movie, video game and simulation industries,” the company added.

“Its broad spectrum of modeling, texturing, lighting and simulation capabilities makes it one of the most popular Open Source 3D graphics applications in the world,” it observed. (AR)

With its advanced simulation capabilities, AccuMark 3D helps the pattern maker to know whether the pattern works in the design, and the designer is able to visualize fit and comfort while allowing for garment refinements.

AccuMark 3D can also export files that can be shared with Gerber's YuniquePLM software to enhance collaboration, making it possible to reduce time and cost in design, sample making and merchandising.

Gerber Technology serves 17,000 customers in 130 countries, including more than 100 Fortune 500 companies, in the aerospace, apparel, fashion, composites, packaging, furniture, technical textiles and transportation interiors industries.

The company develops and manufactures its products from various locations in the United States and Canada and has additional manufacturing capabilities in China. (AR)
