Innerwear firm Honey Lady selects Tukatech solutions

Honey Lady, a recognised name and prolific producer of women’s intimate apparel headquartered in Indonesia, has recently added fashion technology firm, Tukatech’s award-winning technology solutions to its design and manufacturing process. Tukatech is the garment and apparel industry’s leading provider of fashion technology solutions based in the US.

The company initially installed forty TUKAcad licenses, including SMARTmark NetQ, a stand-alone system that requires no manual input and fully automates the marker-making process. Honey Lady now also uses TUKAcutplan, the materials requirement planning system. This allowed them to plan the purchase, allocate materials and minimise waste.

“We had all possible technologies from grading/markers to spreading and cutting, but we were still making paper patterns. We needed speed and accuracy. With Tukatech, we have eliminated manual paper pattern-making, increased productivity in our sample room, and reduced the lead time for sample-making. We have three sample rooms and three cutting rooms across the country,” Ferdinand Permana, director of Honey Lady said in a press release.

“Tukatech systems and their engineering consulting helped us streamline the communication and coordination internally. The central data and information that is available to all CAD and non-CAD users in factories or planners and engineers is seamless, which is something we were not able to do with our previous system. We are very pleased with the performance and with the quality of service and support provided by the Tukatech team,” Permana added. (GK)
