Positek selects TAGSYS LinTRAK tag for textile market

TAGSYS, the leading provider of item-level RFID infrastructure, today announced that Positek, a leader in RFID systems for the textile market, will be using the new and innovative TAGSYS LinTRAK UHF RFID tag for laundry and textile services applications.
The TAGSYS LinTRAK tags are specially designed to withstand harsh industrial laundry processes, while providing industry leading performance for item-level tracking of flat linens, uniforms and other textile products. As a premiere systems integration partner, Positek RFID will combine the LinTRAK tags with its industry-leading suite of textile, garment and linen tracking software, to provide a complete, end-to-end RFID UHF solution for the laundry industry.

The woven LinTRAK tags are based on the EPC Gen 2 standard for UHF RFID (868-960 MHz) and can be seamlessly integrated into textile products. The tags utilize a unique and patented concept that couples a very small UHF device with a secondary antenna made from an innovative and flexible thread-like material.
The UHF LinTRAK tags provide extended read ranges of up to 3 meters and high data transfer rates compared to traditional HF RFID tags, which can enable customers to reliably read hundreds of tags at a time.
