US online fashion informant partners with Chinese govt

Stylesight, the New York-based online fashion content and technology solution provider, has been offering textile and apparel industry related information on China to the world through its partnership with the China Textile Information Center (CTIC) since last year.
 
The content and technology solution provider for fashion industry entered into a coalition with the CTIC, which works under the Government-backed organization, the China National Textile and Apparel Council, to gather information and sales support in the country’s fast-growing market. In doing so, the web portal has found that collaborating with Chinese Government-run organizations can be beneficial too. 
 
Mr Frank Bober, the Founder and CEO of Stylesight, spoke enthusiastically to Fibre2fashion on the company’s collaboration with the CTIC. “The partnership with CTIC takes the best of both worlds and combines them into a dynamic leadership role for the design and creative industry of China. Due to the partnership the acceptance of our value proposition by the Chinese clients became easier and therefore we are in the process of developing more services for the market,” he said.
 
“Stylesight's deep global knowledge of creativity, design, inspiration and technology combined with CTIC's profound understanding and knowledge of mainland China has put both the entities in the leadership role for online creative information throughout the country,” he adds. 
 
Emphasizing on the business profits and other benefits the US-based company has garnered from its partnership with the Chinese organization, he says, “We have profited from year-over-year growth of 50 percent in China. The other benefit is the interest our global client base has shown in our Chinese connections and knowledge. Our international clients are very keen in research and development works concerning China and are seeking our expertise in this arena.”
 
Explaining the information and advantages Stylesight provides to the design and fashion industry worldwide, the CEO says, “Stylesight, with its original, curated and user-generated contents, coupled with software and tools, make all the contents actionable for product inspiration and development right on the site.”
