Epicor Software Corporation, a global leader in business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, announced Haggar Clothing Co. has selected and implemented Epicor Retail Software to support the apparel leader's expansion in the United States and in Canada.

The leading brand in men's dress pants in the U.S., and commanding the No. 2 share in men's casual pants, Haggar's expansion plans call for the opening of 10 to 15 new stores annually in the U.S. through 2017, and 2 to 3 store openings a year over the next 4 years throughout Canada.

Since 1926, Haggar's founding principles of innovation, quality and craftsmanship have propelled the brand from a manufacturer of men's fine dress pants and slacks to one of the most recognized men's apparel companies in the market. Haggar coined the term "slacks" in 1938 -- inventing and owning a new apparel category between casual wear and dressy.

Today, through the Haggar and LK Life Khaki brands, Haggar Clothing Co. continues to build on its rich heritage by creating apparel collections that celebrate classic American style with a modern twist -- giving the Haggar customer the versatility to mix and match elements of their wardrobe with the confidence of knowing that they will always look their best.

To support its U.S. and cross-border expansion plans, Haggar sought a technology partner to help them successfully navigate the currency, customer, merchandising and new market considerations. They chose Epicor Retail software for its robust functionality, flexibility, and ease of integration with current and future store systems.

"The Haggar brand is in an explosive state of growth, fueled by many factors including our eco-friendly fabrics and commitment to sustainability -- factors that really align with the wants and needs of today's Haggar customers," said Jackie Randall, vice president -- retail division, Haggar Clothing Co.

"Epicor offers an integrated software system that has made the transition into Canada much easier for us as compared to many other systems we reviewed. Their CRM offering is robust, and it's helping us to clearly understand who is shopping our brand in Canada, thus allowing our team to track and capitalize on regional trends and shopping patterns to ensure our marketing and merchandising is spot-on from the minute we open our doors at each location."

Haggar is utilizing Epicor Retail Merchandising and Planning to ensure the right merchandise is at the right store at the right time. The Epicor Retail Store solution supports more streamlined point of sale transactions for an improved customer checkout experience, while the Epicor Retail Audit and Operations Management solution allows Haggar to consolidate, validate and secure data from all sales channels into one location and one standard format.

Epicor Retail CRM enables the organization to collect and track customer data to better understand patrons' buying habits across various regions -- fostering loyalty and strengthening marketing campaigns -- while Epicor Retail Business Intelligence addresses the retail challenge to identify and analyze extensive data and trends to improve operational decision making.
