Tilly's partners Thanx Media to improve site search

Chris Brown, Senior Merchandise Manager of eCommerce at Tilly’s, led the initiative to replace the legacy site search engine. His objective was to find a solution that could be integrated into the existing website infrastructure.

The decision is in response to a need for increased conversions and decreased bounce rates for visitors using site search. “We evaluated a large number of site search solutions, but kept coming back to Oracle Endeca,” explained Brown. “Thanx Media’s robust Oracle Endeca hosting and managed services offerings, coupled with affordable pricing, makes this an exciting option.”

The legacy site search engine comes as part of this platform, but Brown wanted a new solution that:

“Endeca has been in place for under a month,” continues Brown, “and we’re already seeing significant increases in conversions and a major decrease in bounce rates.” Since the implementation was complete in less than two months, the Tilly’s team was able to focus on existing data attributes used within Oracle Endeca’s guided navigation feature.
