The unique application is compatible with Apple iPod and iPhone devices and was showcased at NRF 2014 - “Retail’s Big Show” in New York City. The application is a groundbreaking addition to the mobile retail marketplace.
The CGS Mobile POS for Microsoft Dynamics AX will enable retailers to perform standard Point of Sale transactions on-the-fly including processing sales transactions, voids and returns, scanning bar codes, processing discounts, maintaining customer records, and looking up prices, sales tax, and merchandise information.
Additionally, it will allow retailers to perform more advanced functions including clienteling, mobile loyalty program updates, high-end customer capture, gift card and sales redemption, wireless receipts printing/emailing, credit or debit card payment and start/end of day reporting.
“As the retail market continues to evolve, customers are demanding a more personalized buying experience,” said Paul Magel, President of the Applications Solutions Group at CGS. “The CGS Mobile POS for Microsoft Dynamics AX will enable our customers to provide that experience while affording them the scalability and stability of the Microsoft back-end platform, leading to improved overall service and highly satisfied consumers.”
Until now, customers had few options when it came to extending their system into the mobile space and faced expensive and risky custom development costs. As a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner for Dynamics AX, CGS created the robust, fully integrated application to enhance the scope and reach of Microsoft’s rapidly growing retail system.
