Roland Advanced Solutions Division (ASD) and Vision Numeric USA have teamed up to provide jewelry makers with a more efficient way to design and produce models for custom rings and pendants.
Vision Numeric's 3DESIGN CAD software works seamlessly with Roland's JWX-10 jewelry model maker to offer jewelry designers extraordinary ease of use. After creating a virtual model in 3DESIGN, the jeweler simply selects the CAM icon from the pull-down menu. This automatically launches Roland CAM software and imports the file for immediate production on the Roland JWX-10.
“This automated solution combines the very best in jewelry design software with very best in desktop milling,” said David Olson, Roland ASD business development manager. “As a result, jewelers can focus their energy on creating beautiful designs, as opposed to computer operations.”
“The integration of these technologies is important for the jewelry industry,” said Kamal Bounoura, Vision Numeric USA VP and General Manager. “Jewelry designers will appreciate the ease of use and the spectacular results that this best-in-class technology delivers.”
JWX-10: The Roland JWX-10 model maker, an MJSA Innovation Award Winner, makes jewelry design and manufacturing faster, easier and more profitable. The quiet and stylish 4-axis mill produces precise, castable wax models for rings, pendants, bracelets and charms. It also meets stringent ISO international standards for design and manufacturing quality.
