APL POLYFAB introduces RENOTEX jute to footwear industry

With Texon's support, we are sure to over come them and develop more ranges to meet the critical applications.”, said Mr Mani Almal.

At present, the company can use a minimum of 1000 kgs of jute per day to produce Jute Diversified products for footwear sector depending on the range & product mix.

After its success, the company plans to move steps for backward & forward integration to attain quality and economy. It also planned to initiate work on another natural product after some time.

RENOTEX jute natural is not only environmental friendly product but also has most of the features required by footwear insoles and footbeds which are met in just one product. It thus helps in saving huge inventory of varieties of materials.

RENOTEX flexible range is resistant to water absorption with faster de-absorption, apart from excellent tensile /tear strength, bonding, breathable, stroble, anti-skid, electrical resistance, insulation properties to suit insoles.

RENOTEX - R is a flexible range suitable for insoles, strobel for safety shoes and matting whereas RENOTEX - P is mouldable with eco-friendly resin & rubbers suitable for foot beds and some premium ranges of expensive footwear.

The product development will also be made for suitable use in automobiles, helmet & diversified application given with fire retardant properties.

In the recent WSA Material show at Las Vegas in Feb 08 both TEXON and APL decided to explore use of jute waste / recycled materials for footwear & introduce them as RENOTEX – RE and RENOTEX – PE.
