Jun '08
Artificial intelligence is being incorporated into the industrial spinning process by Brazilian spinners with the strategic objective of achieving better quality control and lower costs of products, to favourably compete in the global textile sector.

FIONET software was developed by SENAI / CETIQT in partnership with the Artificial Inteligence Laboratory of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and with Nova America Textil, a traditional Brazilian textile mill.

FIONET proposes to assist engineers and technicians to achieve optimal fiber mixtures analyzing the statistics of cotton yarns produced by this method, verifying the regulation of the spinning equipment, evaluating the quality of the cotton bales and of other pertinent items for the industrial process
