JCPenney CEO to speak at NRFtech 2008: IT Leadership Summit

Myron (Mike) Ullman, Chairman and CEO of J.C. Penney Company and Chairman of the National Retail Federation Board of Directors, will address the industry's most senior level retail IT executives during NRFtech 2008: IT Leadership Summit in Denver, August 10-12. Ullman will speak Monday, August 11, at 9:15 a.m.
Before joining JCPenney, Ullman served as Director General, Group Managing Director of LVMH Möet Hennessy Louis Vuitton from 1999 to 2002. He previously served as Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DFS Group Limited (1995-1999) and as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of R.H. Macy & Co., Inc. (1992-1995). Ullman serves on the board of Starbucks Coffee Company and is Chairman of the Board for Mercy Ships International, a global medical and human services charity.
Following Ullman's keynote will be two full days of educational sessions with industry executives from leading retail companies such as Zappos.com, Big Lots, Staples, Kroger and The Children's Place.

Retail Data Security: An Industry Reality Check on the Quest to Protect Customer Information

During this session, attendees will learn the results of recent customer and retailer research that outlines what progress has been made in security customer data, what challenges still exist, and where technology and process improvements are urgently required.
