Bon-Ton to manage Complex Distribution with HighJump software

HighJump Software, a global provider of supply chain execution solutions, has signed an agreement with The Bon-Ton Stores Inc, one of the top U.S. department store companies, to implement the HighJump Supply Chain Advantage software suite to support the company's retail, big ticket (furniture) and eCommerce operations across its supply chain.
In particular, the retailer will leverage the HighJump warehouse management, yard management and slotting software solutions to support growth initiatives and speed distribution and increase service levels to its network of 280 stores.
“Bon-Ton has grown aggressively in recent years, and now faces the challenges of efficiently addressing growing supply chain requirements across the business,” said James Lance, SVP and CIO of The Bon Ton Stores Inc.
“As we evaluated vendor offerings for an alternative solution, it became clear that investing in the HighJump suite will provide us with the enterprise-level capabilities we need. The HighJump solution is built on a flexible, business process driven Web-based architecture that will grow with the business while keeping our all-important cost of ownership low.”
Timothy Campbell, President and CEO, HighJump Software, said, “This is a significant win for HighJump Software. It demonstrates that we have the right warehouse management solution (WMS) for the complex, high-volume operations of major department store companies, and it illustrates again what continues to distinguish the HighJump WMS from its competition: a uniquely adaptable platform that can easily and cost-effectively accommodate changing business and market needs.”
The Bon-Ton Stores will initially deploy the HighJump warehouse management system to support its eCommerce operations, which are managed out of the organization's Fairborn, Ohio, distribution center.
Over a two-year period, the company plans to deploy the HighJump WMS, as well as the slotting and yard management systems, for its big-ticket and retail operations across distribution centers located in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Illinois.
