For almost a decade, successful sportlifestyle retailer PUMA has focused on providing an exceptional customer experience while maximizing store productivity. In an effort to maintain and enhance levels of service, PUMA has selected the Kronos for Retail solution, an end-to-end workforce management solution from Kronos Incorporated.

PUMA will deploy Kronos applications for sales and labor budgeting, optimized scheduling, time and attendance, absence management, and workforce analytics across all U.S. Concept and Outlet stores. Kronos will help to further enhance PUMA's retail operations by developing additional processes, optimizing workforce alignment to customer demand, simplifying compliance, and improving store productivity.

"PUMA selected Kronos for its retail industry expertise, coupled with its ability to provide a complete solution for enterprise workforce management," said Jay Piccola, president and general manager at PUMA North America.

"PUMA is a growing, multi-faceted, sportlifestyle brand. Given these complexities, we need a partner that understands our business and our brand. Kronos for Retail will help us achieve operational excellence at the store level and therefore create an even more positive customer experience."

Optimized store scheduling is critical for maximizing customer satisfaction. Kronos for Retail will help PUMA schedule effectively by ensuring that the right people with the right skills are in the right places at the right times.

Kronos for Retail will integrate labor budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and reporting, leveraging historical sales, customer demand, and store profile data. This will enable Kronos to derive accurate annual and weekly sales and labor plans, which, combined with actual labor spend, will enable enterprise visibility and control of store productivity in real time.

"Retailers are currently weighed down by declining levels of consumer confidence and spending. This raises the bar for store operations," said John Anderson, director of retail marketing at Kronos.

"Now more than ever, retailers need to sharpen their focus on the delicate balance between labor costs and customer service. We are proud to partner with PUMA to help it achieve its business objectives through effective workforce management."

Kronos for Retail helps retailers hire the best people and manage them most effectively. This end-to-end suite addresses the challenges of managing the workforce with solutions for budgeting, employee selection and hiring, forecasting and scheduling, time and attendance, absence management, and analytics.

Leading retailers from all segments of the industry depend on Kronos to balance the needs of business, customer, and employee. In fact, retailers around the world with more than 80,000 stores and three million employees use Kronos to manage their retail workforce.
